Topic: The Practice of Shame Resiliency and Ordinary Courage--Part 1

Easier said than done, right?  It's scary to step out into the arena and practice ordinary courage and vulnerability. It can feel safer to keep our personal armor, shame shields, and numbing behaviors in place. But if we numb the dark, we also numb the light, and our ability to experience love, joy and belonging. Based on the work of Dr. Brené Brown, you're invited to Explore the Myths of Vulnerability, Shame &

Shame Resilience, and the Antidotes to Shame: Courage,Compassion & Connection. This is a Psycho-Educational & Experiential Workshop, where you're invited to participate as much or as little as you want!

Presented by Judy Kelly, LCSW, CSAT, CDWF

Judy specializes in treating sex & love addiction, trauma, and family of origin issues.  She has advanced training in treating trauma through the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, and is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator (CDWF), and trained with Dr. Brené Brown and her Executive Staff.

Topic:  Couples Surviving Disclosure—A Spiritual Journey--Part 1

Couples therapy can be challenging for both therapist and couples in the best of circumstances.  But when the presenting issue is sex addiction, the treatment path sometimes feels more like a raft trip down the Colorado River.  Some couples (and therapists) make it through with lots of scratches and bruises; others get off the river as soon as possible; and others ride the rapids and are better for having made the extremely scary and challenging trip.  What does this journey look like?  What are the challenges and are there strategies and practices that make the journey more successful.

MaryAnn & Linda will also provide practice for couples or persons who would just like to learn some new skills.

Presented by Mary Ann McLean LCSW, MEd
